These lovely bedrooms are situated in a quiet corner of our 1-acre garden and woodland, about 100 foot from the dining-room in the main house, where a generous Full English breakfast is served. CHESTNUTS is a great base from which to explore local attractions, of which there are many in the Medway Towns of Gravesend, Rochester, and Chatham. There are castles and caves, military forts and country parks, Dickens Festivals, theatres and river walks, the Bluewater shopping centre, even a dry-ski slope, ice rink and digger-land. It is also an ideal place for cyclists and walkers. There are good road and rail links to London and the south coast.

Directions

Travelling North on the M2 leave at Junction 1. Travelling South on the A2 do NOT join the M2 (stay on the A2). Join the A289 to Grain, then take the 1st turning off onto the A226 marked Gravesend and Rochester. Follow the road towards Gravesend until you reach Higham traffic lights. CHESTNUTS BandB is 300 yards further, on your left-hand side.
